Moviefone has inked an exclusive ticketing deal with online site Fandango, marking the first time the companies have partnered together.

Moviefone, an online and mobile service of AOL, previously partnered with Movietickets.com, but that deal expired earlier this month.

In its new deal, Moviefone will have access to Fandango's network of 20,000 Stateside screens. Company also will offer filmgoers mobile barcoded ticketing via Fandango.

"Partnering with Fandango gives Moviefone users an upgraded experience by allowing them to buy tickets from twice as many theaters with more options," said Jay Kirsch, senior VP and general manager for AOL Marketplace.

Fandango exec VP-general manager Rick Butler added: "This new alliance builds on Fandango's continued momentum by introducing its conveniences to millions of new Moviefone consumers."
